Originally a part of traditional Japanese tea ceremonies, this bowl is a prime example of the Raku ware that has found a place in modern decor. Its deep blue glaze is the result of an expert kiln firing technique perfected over the centuries. The bowl has an irregular shape because its clay was moulded by hand and sculpturally shaped using a spatula before being fired in a furnace.
